I am extremely particular when it comes to my car, which is a 2005 BMW 325i ZSP. Only 3 shops in total have ever been graced with the presence of this legendary E46. CROWN BMW, from where it was originally purchased new with less than 5 miles on the odometer! Carr Industries, whom nurtured it over 200,000 miles after the factory warranties expired! And now the Bimmer Performance Center has the honors! Wait, did I say honors? I meant challenge…. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous driving over an hour away to a shop that I’ve never been to, agreeing to the biggest and most expensive repair/upgrade of the E46’s entire life. But after countless hours of research, I decided that a baffled oil pan was the route I wanted to go with for various reasons. Desired future track use, and reducing oil consumption to name a few. After calling around 20 different BMW shops/specialists throughout the triad, BPC came highly recommended by a technician at EuroBahn, as well as the service manager at EuroHaus. The Bimmer Performance Center was the only one out of them all that had experience installing and welding baffled oil pans! Jason and Josh were the two techs walking me through this entire process. Josh was very honest and actually owned an E46 himself and gave me many tips on certain parts to buy, or not to buy, and what to repair and when! Jason was very good about emailing me various requested estimates in a timely manner along with being very professional and sincere in person. He also informed me that my radiator was cracked and let me know all the parts he recommends and where to get them! He was also honest about how the car drove and what it needs going forward. (Clutch, radiator, hoses thermostat) These guys even took pictures of their work and kept me updated! You just don’t see that level of pride in one’s work anymore and that’s one of the many reasons I will be back! Make no mistake this was no easy task! After it was all said and done, I opted for an oil pan gasket, oil pan baffle, oil pump safety wire nut, rod bearings, engine mounts, transmission mounts and they did a safety inspection as well. All of this was done in just 2 days as promised. When I cranked it up, I instantly could tell a difference! The car was noticeably louder, and when I took off it was amazing! You could hear and feel everything! When you push the clutch and shift you literally hear and feel every engagement. It’s truly beautiful and allows me to become completely immersed in the driving experience! Not to mention after an hour drive, the oil level was steady and there were no signs of burning or leaking oil! The only slight hiccup in this entire process was that the final labor price was a touch higher for the baffle and rod bearings than anticipated, but from what I’ve read online nationally, the price I was charged was not only fair but competitive! Bimmer Performance Center…Congratulations, you exceeded my expectations! Sincerely, SÜPER €46

I WILL NOT deny that they do a good job. HOWEVER the high ratings they currently have they DO NOT deserve. I've been a loyal customer since bpc first opened it's doors in 2011. They were the most honest and best mechanics around. In 2017/18 is when staff changes started and it went downhill from there. Honesty went out the window, and prices increased. The new staff is benefiting and taking advantage of the loyal 5+ year customers and high ratings from the previous employees reputations. Prices are now the same as it would be if you go to the dealership (which is why we look for alternatives in the first place) and honesty, ha. Again they are excellent in repairs, so if you're close to the shop go. But if you're closer to a dealership, there's no price difference.

I've been her a few times but I'm just reminded about how professional they are. I was ready to have my front and rear brake pads replaced but the tech pointed out the fronts where still good and to hold off ........little things like that go along way. The owner was kind enough to spend some time with me even though he was busy with customer and talk about the platform for the car I own and do and don't sin his expansive experience and showed me a few shop cars (one of which is internet famous). They are a bit of a trek bit it's worth it. Can't say enough positive things.

Had Rod Bearings done for preventative maintenance since my car needed the Oil Pan Gasket replaced. They worked with me and helped me schedule a loaner car through them in advance (for free). They also had no problem installing all four Brakes and Rotors that I had purchased online. Took them about 2 days to have everything completed. They even brought out the mechanic to answer my detailed questions about the state of the rod bearings and other various Car Guy questions I had. My 335i n55 hasn't ran this smooth since I bought it. This is probably the 5-6th time I've brought my car to BPC for various things. Won't hesitate to do it in the future.
